ABOUT HEARTWARES |

HeARTwares is a retail store and Art with a Heart’s newest service-learning initiative. It is an evolved version of Art with a Heart'sSummer Job Program and Art to Market Program. Participating youth work at HeARTwares and gain real job experience in dealing with the public, handling money, and presenting a professional appearance and manner. During the weekend, a wide variety of hand-made and one-of-a-kind artwork, jewelry, house ware items, garden ornaments, and assorted gifts can be purchased at HeARTwares. The store will initially be open on weekends only, with extended hours anticipated to occur throughout the holiday season and around gift-giving holidays. The proceeds from the sale of the art are shared between Art with a Heart and the community partner. In the past year, Art with a Heart has sold over $16,000 of unique, handmade art. As a part of its community commitment, sale proceeds are shared equally between Art with a Heart and the artist or community partner.

HeARTwares is located at 623 W. 34th Street, but also has an entrance at 3355 Keswick Road. Both entrances have large signs for easy visability. HeARTwares is currently open Monday through Friday from 11 am to 6 pm, and Saturday/Sunday from 12 to 5 pm. If you would like to visit during the weekday, please call 410-366-8886. |
