The Practice of Celebrating Daily Victories!

November 16, 2020

It was supposed to be this month…October 29th to be exact. Art with a Heart was supposed to reveal the Heart of Baltimore sculpture and then celebrate its 20 years of work at an event in the Baltimore community, with the community. The event did not happen and supply chain issues postponed the start of the Heart of Baltimore project. Despite the celebration being postponed, there remains an abundance of energy and joy at Art with a Heart as the team celebrates its daily victories like the packing of another 1,800 boxes of art supplies for elementary and middle school students and receiving its 520th ceramic heart for the Heart of Baltimore project. This is the third round of art boxes that have been prepared, packed, and delivered to children for engagement in Art with a Heart’s virtual programs. And the ceramic hearts, created by over 300 volunteers, most of whom are helping from the comfort and safety of their homes, continue to arrive by the bagful.

So in this time of limited interactions, Art with a Heart is celebrating daily victories and honoring the communities it has served for the last 20 years by staying steadfast in the work. As you scroll through this newsletter, you will see the organizations’ ongoing commitment through the individuals pictured, the projects represented and its creative community engagement.

Wishing you continued good health,

p.s. I hope you will consider a donation to Art with a Heart today. Now, more than ever, we need your support! Thank you.
