ABOUT THE PROJECT
To honor the memory and legacy of its namesake, the Elijah Cummings Youth Program in Israel hangs at the Cummings Courthouse in Baltimore. The 3′ x 5′ Living Messages’ mosaic features the likeness of the late Rep. Elijah E. Cummings bearing the quote “Our children are the living message we send to a future we will never see”. This mosaic was commissioned by the EYCP alumni and created by Art with a Heart and members of the EYCP.
