Elijah Cummings Memorialized in Community Mosaic

Art with a Heart, in partnership with the alumni, fellows and friends of the Elijah Cummings Youth Program, commemorated the late Congressman with a mosaic portrait. Once grouted, this 5’x3’ mosaic will be complete and ready for installation.

Community members, students, interns, and Art with a Heart staff helped to complete the project over the last several months.  The materials used in the creation of the piece are made of a variety different textures and shapes, much like the Congressman, who could adapt to any situation or community calling in his career as a public servant.
